Katja Stušek deluje na kulturno umetniškem področju več kot desetletje, sprva se je ukvarjala z uprizoritvenimi umetnostmi, in sicer je bila samozaposlena kot producentka sodobno-plesnih in gledaliških predstav ter uprizoritvenega festivala Exodos, trenutno vodi Linhartovo dvorano Radovljica, ki je del Javnega zavoda za turizem in kulturo Radovljica. Velik delež programa v dvorani pripada prav filmu. Pri svojem delu se trudi, da kakovosten evropski film dobi pomembno in prepoznavno mesto med obiskovalci, prav tako uvaja nove programe, kot sta KinoVoziček – kino za starše z dojenčki in KinoGore – mesečni program filmov s športno, gorniško, naravovarstveno in outdoor vsebino. Posveča se tudi mlademu občinstvu in uvaja miniKinoArt ter itakKinoArt, kakovostne filme za otroke in mlajšo mladino. Aktivna je tudi v Art kino mreži Slovenije.
Katja Stušek has been working in the field of cultural arts for over a decade. She graduated at the Faculty of Social Sciences, specialising in Communication Studies. Katja’s career began in the field of performing arts where she was employed as a producer of contemporary dance and theatrical performances, as well as being involved in organising the Exodus Festival. She currently runs Linhart Hall in Radovljica, which is part of the Radovljica Public Institute for Tourism and Culture. A large part of the hall’s programme is dedicated to film. In her work Katja strives to ensure that quality European films have an important and recognised place among visitors to Linhart Hall, and she has also introduced new features such as ‘KinoVoziček’ – cinema screenings for parents with babies, and ‘KinoGore’ – a monthly programme of films with content covering sports, mountaineering, protection of nature, and the outdoors. Katja also dedicates events to young audiences through the introduction of ‘MiniKinoArt’ and ‘ItakKinoArt’ – quality films for children and young people. She is also active in the Slovenian Art Cinema Network.
